Our commitment to Caring, Local Impact, and Efficiency continues to be the talk of the community as the Onslow Memorial Hospital (OMH) Foundation progresses with meaningful initiatives. Here are some highlights from April 2024:

Funding for Radiation Oncology Equipment

The OMHF Board is pleased to announce a $22,000 grant to Onslow Radiation Oncology. This funding will be used to purchase new equipment designed to comfortably position patients during breast and lung cancer treatments. It’s always fulfilling to witness the tangible impact of our fundraising efforts, complementing the dedicated work of OMH caregivers.

Collaboration with Naval Medical Center Camp Lejeune

We are excited to share that Tom Giffin has accepted an invitation from officials at the Naval Medical Center Camp Lejeune (NMCCL). He will be exploring the relationship between NMCCL and the surrounding civilian medical community, fostering stronger connections and collaboration.

Partnership with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society

The Foundation is partnering with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society to demonstrate how small gestures can make a significant impact. OMH oncology patients receive blankets after they “ring the bell” on their last day of treatment. These blankets are deeply appreciated by patients, and the emotional presentation moments are cherished by the staff. This small gesture marks the end of treatment and makes caring a tangible part of OMH and our Foundation.

We are proud of these accomplishments and remain dedicated to making a positive impact in our community. Thank you for your continued support of the Onslow Memorial Hospital Foundation. Together, we are making a difference!
