We are thrilled to share the success of last Saturday’s Julie’s Pink Warrior Project 5K and Health Expo, a key event in Onslow Memorial Hospital’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month activities. Over 400 participants came together to make this event a tremendous success, with proceeds going toward providing mammograms for uninsured and underinsured residents of Onslow County.

The event was more than just a 5K; it was a true community celebration. Volunteers from various departments across the hospital helped organize and bring to life an event that was 90% celebration of Julie’s Warrior Spirit, and 10% solemn remembrance of those we’ve lost to this difficult disease. It was an inspiring day that reflected the joy, enthusiasm, and dedication of everyone involved.

From organizing and publicizing to running, walking, and even handling tear-down, every volunteer and participant played a part in making this day special. Their efforts serve as a powerful testament to how local, caring people can unite to make a difference.

A heartfelt congratulations to all the Onslow Memorial Hospital employees and volunteers who worked tirelessly to make Julie’s Pink Warrior Project 5K and Health Expo such a meaningful success. Your hard work and commitment bring us closer to the day when Breast Cancer Awareness Month will be remembered as a victory.

Once again… Congratulations to all the Onslow Memorial Hospital employees and volunteers who made Julie’s Pink Warrior Project 5K and Health Expo an overwhelming success in so many ways!

Sincerely,
Thomas Giffin
