We’re thrilled to share that WITN recently featured our newly launched nursing scholarship, highlighting our commitment to supporting the future of healthcare in Onslow County.
This scholarship, created in memory of Ed Garris, provides financial assistance to nursing students at Coastal Carolina Community College who plan to work at Onslow Memorial Hospital. As a dedicated community leader, Ed recognized the critical need for skilled nurses and worked tirelessly to strengthen healthcare in our area.
With an initial $6,000 award funded by the Onslow Memorial Hospital Foundation Board, this scholarship is just the beginning. We’re actively seeking corporate partners to expand support for aspiring nurses.
