The Board of Directors of the Onslow Memorial Hospital (OMH) Foundation is pleased to announce a $10,000 grant awarded to the Onslow Memorial Rehabilitation Center. This funding is dedicated to acquiring a state-of-the-art traction table, which will significantly enhance the Center’s capacity to treat patients in Jacksonville.

Michael Kamp, Director of Rehabilitative Services at OMH, expressed his enthusiasm about the grant: “We are overjoyed that the Foundation’s board members awarded this funding to our organization. The gift represents another step forward for the care of local patients as traction tables improve patient outcomes through goal-specific mobilization of the spine, and our therapists will adjust the treatments to fit each patient’s needs and comfort level.”

Ed Garris, Chair of the OMH Foundation, reported that Board members voted unanimously in favor of making the grant. “We are always grateful for the donations from our local community members that allow the Foundation to help in this manner. Grants for the latest technology allow the talented experts in the Rehab Center, and throughout the Hospital, to continue their caring work and provide the best treatments and plans for our patients,” Garris noted.
